Remix Revisited..
Ahem.... it s time to eat my own words. Not all Remixes are good and actually few are really spoiling the original song. Wonder wat made me think so!!!.. Recently heard the pathetic remixes of 'aatama thaerotama', 'Paalakaatu pakathilaey' n 'paetta rap'!!.. phew i just cant stand them.. So i ve come to a conclusion that this trend is not really encouragable or the musicians should take extra care while making such songs..

Gayathri, with her characteristic self-assurance, has struck again!
What initially prepossessed her in favour of 'Remixes' and what has now prejudiced her against it, it is impossible to deduce, especially for a bird-brain like me. (It requires, I presume a superior, fairy-tale-fed IQ, in which I am pathetically deficient).
I must rest content with observing that Gayathri's strong conviction shows in every post, irrespective of whether she is violently supporting or equally violently opposing anything!
Kudos Gaya! Way to go!
By the way, I find your blog highly entertaining and believe me, I am hooked on to it!

I do accept that remixes 1)are spoiling the originality of the songs and 2)are these days crap.
But i do feel that 'aatama thaerotama' was good, especially malavika :D.

I was highly impressed with 'Ponmagal Vandhal' and hence wrote dat blog.. The rest of the songs opened my eyes :)
Some of the remixes are not only pathetic, they even make u stop listening to the original version...
