Wat a great day!!

It is an excellent day today.. A beautiful Monday morning and me staying at home n writing this blog sipping a hot cup of tea.. Wow!!!!! wish every Monday mornings are like this :).

It was raining heavily yesterday and I had a very tough time in going to my friend's wedding reception. The roads were flooded and i thought by today morning we have to use boats to get out of our houses and hence i ll stay back at home. When i woke up today morning, there wasn't even a drizzle and the sun was shining brightly... Still i have decided to stay back at home and here i am at my home doing nothing and having a nice time..(Though this s wat i do in office too :))..

Highly Disappointing :(

I was eagerly awaiting the audio release of ATM. Finally i listened to all the 6 songs of ATM today.... To my utter disappointment, none of the songs are highly impressive. None of them have the Rahman touch :(.

The remix song 'Pon magal vandhal' is good. Heard it is not done by ARR. Whoever did it, has done a good job.

The folk number 'Valayapatti thavilae' is also good. ARR has done a good job in this song though it is not upto his standards.

Ella pughazhum n madhuraikku are kind of okayish..

The rest of the songs!!! oh man!! i can't even believe that ARR composed the music for these songs...especially the song Kelamal kaiyilae.. it s terrible

On the whole, A complete package of disappointment from Rahman. :(

Jonty - the wonder man!

On thinking about cricket the one name that comes immediately to my mind is Jonty Rhodes. He is such a cool, calm, composed and talented cricketer. I always love to watch the way he fields. I admire his fielding more than his batting. I don't even mind whenever any Indian batsmen is given out due to Jonty's splendid catch or run - out, after all it s not their fault :)

It is the tendency of the fielders to throw the ball as soon as they collect it. But i remember an incident where Jonty took a few seconds for positioning himself, after collecting the ball and produced a perfect run - out. His splendid catches and run - outs have won several matches for South Africa. Surely the man who discovered the concept of 'Gravitational Force' would have thought twice if he had seen this man on the field ;) . Also his reverse sweeps require special mention. He has done wonders with his bat too..

There can be 'n' number of excellent batsmen and bowlers in this world, but when it comes to fielding it is the one and only Jonty. I would just love to see him back in action :)

F1

I wanted Hamilton to win this year's driver's championship. It is not because i like him. It is just because Alonso should not win his third consecutive title. Wonder why? No one should even think of reaching the height that Schumi has reached. Whenever anyone talk about F1, even in future, the only name that should come to everyone's mind is 'Schumi'. He is a legend.

And now, in yesterday's Brazilian GP, Kimi has won the race and has taken this year's driver's championship. This delights me because the man who replaced schumi in Ferrai has won the title :).. n Ferrari has won the constructor's championship too. Hurray!!!!!!!!!!

HP!

Hp might mean Hewlett-Packard or even Hindustan petroleum to most of the people.. But it just means 'Harry Potter' to me :). JKR's works are pure magic and keeps me spell-bound.

Today morning in an interview, JKR was answering the questions of the fans and one of her fan asked the following question

fan: Dumbledore always thinks high about the power of love. did he ever fall in love with someone?
JKR: I have always thought of Dumbledore as a 'gay'. He had fallen in love with Grindelwald.

Wat d hell!!!!!!!! Dumbledore is one person i simply adore, respect and merely even worship. I remember an argument that i had with one of my friends a very long time back. I remember telling my friend that Dumbledore can never commit mistakes n he is more like a God to me.
JKR's startling revelations really upset me :(. Am already depressed by the way the book 7 ended. The way in which the horcrux inside Harry was destroyed is pathetic. The book 7 hasn't even met the standards set by her first 6 books. On the whole by making such a remark on Dumbledore she has lost all my loyalty.

Music!!!

The most difficult part of my professional life is the time i spend everyday in travel.. It s a very long n tiring journey. My office is nearly 55 km away from my home :(. The only thing that cheers me up during that time is music. Of the few latest songs that i listened to recently, the following songs impressed me a lot!

1. Mudhal mazhai - Bheema
2. Idhu enna mayam - Oram Po
3. Minnalgal koothadum mazhai kalam - Polladhavan
4. Engeyum eppodhum - Polladhavan

Harris, Yuvan n GVP are getting better day by day. Their music has reached a new level.. Now am waiting for ARR's ATM. Hope he delivers his best :)

My Very First blog

Its quite a long time since i thought of writing blogs.. I couldnt enter this blogging world for a few reasons. The primary reason being my job. It keeps me occupied the entire day. I mostly start from home by 6.40 am and come back home by 10 or 11pm!!(This was my regular schedule till last month. Nah am not a workaholic :( . Guess all my projects were so stressful). I hardly had any time to spend with my family, sleep n watch my favourite shows on TV. So i couldnt even think of writing blogs though i read the blogs of a few of my friends.

Now that am totally vetti ;) (nah nah i didnt quit .. am on bench dat s it :) ) , i ve enough time to pour in my thoughts.. So here i take my first step into the blogging world :) huh n wat an auspicious day to start.. it is vijayadasami today :)
